Held annually on June 21, the Summer Solstice, Make Music Edmonton is part of a global celebration inspired by La Fête de la Musique, launched in France in 1982.

Today, this event takes place in more than 700 cities worldwide.

In Edmonton, it transforms 124 Street into a vibrant open-air stage, with over 60 live performances across 12 outdoor venues.


Meeting Point & Start

Meeting point: 124 Street and 108 Avenue
Arrival time: 10 to 15 minutes before start

As you walk along 124 Street, you will explore both the festival and the history of the area.

Built in 1938 in Art Deco style, once powering Edmonton’s streetcar system

MacLaren and Buena Vista site
A modern development preserving the facade of a 1912 historic building

LeMarchand Mansion
Opened in 1909, reflecting early elegance and urban life in Edmonton
